The Gut Brain Connection:
How Red Light Supports Mood, Cognition and Nervous System Health

May 28, 2026

Join Dr. Meyer and the ResWell PTSD/VUCAH community for an insightful session with Sarah, an expert in clinical neuroscience and nutritional medicine.

In this presentation, Sarah explores the profound connection between our light environment, the gut-brain axis, and our overall systemic resilience.

Learn how modern society’s “light poverty” contributes to physiological and psychological strain, and discover the science behind Photobiomodulation (PBM).

Sarah explains how red and near-infrared light therapy works at a cellular level by stimulating the mitochondria to produce energy (ATP), release nitric oxide for better blood flow, and initiate deep cellular healing.
