I have thirty five years experience in various aspects of the mental health field. I began working in halfway house for people with severe and persistent mental illnesses, then moved to a partial hospitalization program after getting my master’s degree in Counseling Psychology. I then became a crisis intervention specialist until 2000 ,which was my passion. I was recruited to work on a inpatient psychiatric unit until I had a brain hemorrhage in 2003. I then returned as an outpatient therapist at the same hospital, until I retired. I have since volunteered at a local homeless shelter and see a small number of people privately. I remain active in our county’s CISM team as member and mental health consultant. I am reflective but normally positive and encouraging person who always sees options and hope in most situations if people can acknowledge their goodness.
