Laura Rojas-Marcos, Doctor in Clinical Psychology and Health, is a psychotherapist, researcher, speaker, teacher and writer. She has a bicultural background and has lived between Europe and the USA throughout her life. She was born and educated in New York where she devoted herself to psychology and social work in different institutions and health centers, but has a Spanish descent since her family is from Seville, Spain.

Dr. Rojas-Marcos is currently a member of the Royal European Academy of Doctors, the European Federation of Psychology and the Spanish Association of Positive Psychology. In 2020 she became a member and advisor of the Culture Committee of the Queen Sofia Spanish Institute in New York.

Since 2015 she participates on a regular basis as a lecturer at the Spanish Television program The Adventure of Knowledge, as well as other radio and television programs.

In 2001, after the World Trade Center terrorist attacks in New York, she joined Project Liberty, a program created by the United States Federal Government to offer psychological assistance to victims of September 11th attacks.

Since 2002 Dr. Rojas-Marcos lives in Madrid, Spain, where she worked at La Caixa Foundation as the coordinator of the health program “Life is change. Change is life ” until 2007. Since 2006 she has maintained a clinical private practice. She specializes in anxiety, depression, posttraumatic stress disorder, cancer, domestic violence, substance abuse, food disorders, mobbing and cultural shock. Moreover, she collaborates regularly with numerous Spanish and American institutions, universities and associations dedicated to social and mental health issues.

In 2015, 2017 and 2018 she was selected one of the Top 100 leading and influential women in Spain. She is the author of numerous published articles and the books: Talking and Learning; The Feeling of Guilt; We Are Change; and The Family: From Toxic to Healthy Relationships. On November 2021 she will publish her next book: Coexist and Share
